Cavity cleaning and debris removal for Wickford properties
If your property is in Wickford or the SS12 district or nearby Rayleigh, Basildon and South Benfleet, it is within our Essex coverage. It is about 9 miles south of Chelmsford.
If your Wickford installation has a guarantee, we check it first; the guarantee route may cover the work. Where a Wickford wall does need work, bricks are lifted and rebuilt in matching mortar, and the cavity is checked with a camera before it is closed up.
Every elevation is judged on its own exposure. Much of Essex sits in the more sheltered driving-rain zones of the UK, which widens the choice of fill. Exposed elevations, coastal sites and high ground still get checked wall by wall.
On the rules side, if cavity wall insulation follows in Wickford, filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.

Why debris matters
A clean cavity lets water that gets through the outer leaf drain away. Debris piled at the base or caught on ties makes a bridge for that water. It is a common cause of damp low on walls and around ties, with or without insulation.
