Who we are
This website, cavitywallinsulationuk.co.uk, is run by S&K Property Investments and Improvement Ltd (company number 16932889, registered office Unit 1 Hembs Crescent, Great Barr, Birmingham B43 5DG), which trades as Cavity Wall Insulation UK and is part of the S&K Group. S&K Group Holdings Ltd (company number 16703925, Unit 1 Hembs Crescent, Great Barr, Birmingham B43 5DG) is the data controller for personal data collected through this website and enquiries. S&K Property Investments and Improvement Ltd is the controller for quotes, contracts and job records once you ask us to quote or carry out work.
S&K Group Holdings Ltd runs the website and handles enquiries for the group. When you ask for a survey, a quote or a call back, it passes your enquiry to S&K Property Investments and Improvement Ltd, the company that quotes for and contracts the work, because that is what you have asked for.
When you send an enquiry, we contact you about that enquiry only, using the phone number, email or WhatsApp details you gave us. We do not add you to marketing lists.
Contact us about your data at sales@cavitywallinsulationuk.co.uk or by post to the registered office above.

Why we use it
- To answer your enquiry and arrange a survey: taking steps at your request before a contract, and our legitimate interest in replying.
- To carry out and guarantee the work, including sharing your details with the registered installer we appoint and with the guarantee provider named on your quote: performance of a contract.
- To keep records for building regulations notifications, guarantees, tax and legal claims: legal obligation and legitimate interests.
- To take professional advice (for example from accountants, insurers or solicitors) and to establish or defend legal claims: our legitimate interests.
- Optional chat and analytics cookies: your consent. You can withdraw consent at any time using "Cookie settings" in the footer; this does not affect anything done before you withdrew it.
We do not sell your data, we do not pass enquiries to other companies for their own marketing, and we do not cold-call.
Who we share it with
The registered installer appointed for your survey or job; the guarantee provider named on your quote; building control or a competent person scheme where the work is notified; our form, chat, email and hosting providers (Web3Forms, Tawk.to, Netlify) acting on our instructions; and our professional advisers. Some providers process data outside the UK, including in the United States (Web3Forms, Tawk.to, Netlify, Google and Meta) and the European Economic Area. Where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations (including the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified) or on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum. You can ask us for details of the safeguard used.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries and chats that do not lead to work: 24 months.
- Analytics data: 14 months.
- Customer, survey and contract records: 7 years after the job.
- Records needed to support a guarantee: for the length of the guarantee, which for cavity wall insulation can be 25 years, plus 12 months.
