Wall tie replacement for Brecon properties
Brecon is among the towns we cover in Powys, alongside Llandrindod Wells and Newtown. It is roughly 39 miles south of Newtown.
We never cold-call in Brecon or anywhere else, and we do not work with doorstep claims companies. If your Brecon installation has a guarantee, we check it first; the guarantee route may cover the work.
Every elevation is judged on its own exposure. Parts of Powys face some of the heaviest wind-driven rain in the UK, especially exposed coastal and upland sites. Here the survey is stricter: some walls suit only certain certified systems, and some should not be filled at all.
On compliance, if cavity wall insulation follows in Brecon, filling a cavity is notifiable work under the Building Regulations as they apply in Wales, usually self-certified through a competent person scheme.

Signs of wall tie failure
Horizontal cracks in mortar joints at regular vertical intervals, bulging brickwork, or lifting of the roof verge. Older galvanised ties, especially in walls built before the 1980s, are the usual suspects.
