Underfloor insulation for Pontefract properties
If your property is in Pontefract or the WF8 district or nearby Castleford, Wakefield and Lofthouse, it is within our West Yorkshire coverage. It is around 12 miles south-east of Leeds.
We check ventilation as carefully as insulation in Pontefract homes, because both matter for keeping a house dry. Where a Pontefract home also has empty cavity walls, we can survey those at the same time.
As for paperwork, if cavity wall insulation follows in Pontefract, filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.
Funding in England
In England, ECO4 runs to 31 December 2026 and Warm Homes: Local Grant supports low-income households through councils.

Keeping the void ventilated
Air bricks under a suspended floor must stay clear so the timbers stay dry. Insulation goes between the joists, not across the void, and gaps at skirtings are sealed to stop draughts.
What is included in Pontefract
- Draught sealing at skirtings
