Underfloor insulation for Musselburgh properties
Musselburgh sits in Lothian, roughly 19 miles east of Livingston. We work across the EH21 district, including nearby Dalkeith, Livingston and Bathgate.
We check ventilation as carefully as insulation in Musselburgh homes, because both matter for keeping a house dry. Where a Musselburgh home also has empty cavity walls, we can survey those at the same time.
In terms of approvals, if cavity wall insulation follows in Musselburgh, no building warrant is needed for insulation within a wall, but the work must meet the building standards.

Keeping the void ventilated
Air bricks under a suspended floor must stay clear so the timbers stay dry. Insulation goes between the joists, not across the void, and gaps at skirtings are sealed to stop draughts.
What is included in Musselburgh
- Insulation between joists
- Floor void inspection
- Draught sealing at skirtings
- Boards relaid
