Underfloor insulation for Glenrothes properties
Glenrothes is among the towns we cover in Fife, alongside Kirkcaldy and Dunfermline. It is about 14 miles north-east of Dunfermline.
Where a Glenrothes home also has empty cavity walls, we can survey those at the same time. In Glenrothes homes this is often done on the same visit as a cavity fill, which saves a second trip.
On compliance, if cavity wall insulation follows in Glenrothes, no building warrant is needed for insulation within a wall, but the work must meet the building standards.

Keeping the void ventilated
Air bricks under a suspended floor must stay clear so the timbers stay dry. Insulation goes between the joists, not across the void, and gaps at skirtings are sealed to stop draughts.
What is included in Glenrothes
- Insulation between joists
- Draught sealing at skirtings
- Boards relaid
- Floor void inspection
