Underfloor insulation for Magherafelt properties
If your property is in Magherafelt or the BT45 district or nearby Limavady, Coleraine and Derry, it is within our County Londonderry coverage. It is roughly 31 miles south-east of Derry.
Where a Magherafelt home also has empty cavity walls, we can survey those at the same time. In Magherafelt homes this is often done on the same visit as a cavity fill, which saves a second trip.
On compliance, if cavity wall insulation follows in Magherafelt, inserting cavity wall insulation needs a building control application to the council before work starts.

Keeping the void ventilated
Air bricks under a suspended floor must stay clear so the timbers stay dry. Insulation goes between the joists, not across the void, and gaps at skirtings are sealed to stop draughts.
What is included in Magherafelt
- Insulation between joists
- Draught sealing at skirtings
- Floor void inspection
