Loft insulation for North Shields properties
North Shields is among the towns we cover in Tyne and Wear, alongside Tynemouth, South Shields and Whitley Bay. It is roughly 7 miles north-east of Newcastle upon Tyne.
We check ventilation as carefully as insulation in North Shields homes, because both matter for keeping a house dry. In North Shields homes this is often done on the same visit as a cavity fill, which saves a second trip.
For regulations, if cavity wall insulation follows in North Shields, filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.
Funding in England
In England, ECO4 runs to 31 December 2026 and Warm Homes: Local Grant supports low-income households through councils.

What we check
Existing depth and condition, ventilation at the eaves, water tanks and pipes that need insulating, downlighters that need covers, and storage boarding that needs raising so insulation is not crushed.
