Existing insulation and guarantee check for Milton Keynes properties
We cover Milton Keynes and the MK9 postcode district, including nearby Bletchley, Aylesbury and Chesham. Milton Keynes is one of the main towns we cover in Buckinghamshire.
The written result for your Milton Keynes property is plain English: what we found, what it means and what, if anything, to do next. A survey in Milton Keynes gives you facts before anyone drills: what the wall is, what is in the cavity and whether it is sound.
Wind-driven rain is the first thing the surveyor weighs up. Much of Buckinghamshire sits in the more sheltered driving-rain zones of the UK, which widens the choice of fill. Exposed elevations, coastal sites and high ground still get checked wall by wall.
On compliance, if cavity wall insulation follows in Milton Keynes, filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.

Tracing a guarantee
Many cavity fills carry a 25-year guarantee from the Cavity Insulation Guarantee Agency (CIGA). CIGA can confirm whether a property is covered and can issue a duplicate guarantee for a fee; at the time of writing that fee is £60 including VAT, and proof of ownership is required.
