Existing insulation and guarantee check for Leighton Buzzard properties
Leighton Buzzard sits in Bedfordshire, roughly 17 miles south-west of Bedford. We work across the LU7 district, including nearby Dunstable, Ampthill and Luton.
The written result for your Leighton Buzzard property is plain English: what we found, what it means and what, if anything, to do next. Where a Leighton Buzzard wall shows cold patches or damp, the survey targets those areas first rather than sampling at random.
Before any material is chosen, exposure is checked. Much of Bedfordshire sits in the more sheltered driving-rain zones of the UK, which widens the choice of fill. Exposed elevations, coastal sites and high ground still get checked wall by wall.
In terms of approvals, if cavity wall insulation follows in Leighton Buzzard, filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.

Tracing a guarantee
Many cavity fills carry a 25-year guarantee from the Cavity Insulation Guarantee Agency (CIGA). CIGA can confirm whether a property is covered and can issue a duplicate guarantee for a fee; at the time of writing that fee is £60 including VAT, and proof of ownership is required.
