Wall tie replacement for Waltham Abbey properties
Our Essex coverage takes in Waltham Abbey (EN9) and nearby Harlow, Brentwood and South Ockendon. It is around 20 miles west of Chelmsford.
We never cold-call in Waltham Abbey or anywhere else, and we do not work with doorstep claims companies. Where a Waltham Abbey wall does need work, bricks are lifted and rebuilt in matching mortar, and the cavity is checked with a camera before it is closed up.
Exposure matters for every cavity wall. Much of Essex sits in the more sheltered driving-rain zones of the UK, which widens the choice of fill. Exposed elevations, coastal sites and high ground still get checked wall by wall.
For regulations, if cavity wall insulation follows in Waltham Abbey, filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.

Signs of wall tie failure
Horizontal cracks in mortar joints at regular vertical intervals, bulging brickwork, or lifting of the roof verge. Older galvanised ties, especially in walls built before the 1980s, are the usual suspects.
