Underfloor insulation for Hoddesdon properties
Our Hertfordshire coverage takes in Hoddesdon (EN11) and nearby Hertford, Cheshunt and Potters Bar. It is about 14 miles east of St Albans.
Where a Hoddesdon home also has empty cavity walls, we can survey those at the same time. We check ventilation as carefully as insulation in Hoddesdon homes, because both matter for keeping a house dry.
On the rules side, if cavity wall insulation follows in Hoddesdon, filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.
Funding in England
In England, ECO4 runs to 31 December 2026 and Warm Homes: Local Grant supports low-income households through councils.

Keeping the void ventilated
Air bricks under a suspended floor must stay clear so the timbers stay dry. Insulation goes between the joists, not across the void, and gaps at skirtings are sealed to stop draughts.
What is included in Hoddesdon
- Draught sealing at skirtings
- Boards relaid
- Floor void inspection
