Underfloor insulation for Hereford properties
We cover Hereford and the HR1 postcode district, including nearby Ledbury, Ross-on-Wye and Leominster. Hereford is one of the main towns we cover in Herefordshire.
We check ventilation as carefully as insulation in Hereford homes, because both matter for keeping a house dry. Where a Hereford home also has empty cavity walls, we can survey those at the same time.
On the rules side, if cavity wall insulation follows in Hereford, filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.
Funding in England
In England, ECO4 runs to 31 December 2026 and Warm Homes: Local Grant supports low-income households through councils.

Keeping the void ventilated
Air bricks under a suspended floor must stay clear so the timbers stay dry. Insulation goes between the joists, not across the void, and gaps at skirtings are sealed to stop draughts.
What is included in Hereford
