Underfloor insulation for Darlington properties
If your property is in Darlington or the DL1 district or nearby Newton Aycliffe, Stockton-on-Tees and Thornaby-on-Tees, it is within our County Durham coverage. It is about 17 miles south of Durham.
Where a Darlington home also has empty cavity walls, we can survey those at the same time. Small measures like this are often among the cheapest per pound saved, and they suit Darlington homes of every age.
As for paperwork, if cavity wall insulation follows in Darlington, filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.

Keeping the void ventilated
Air bricks under a suspended floor must stay clear so the timbers stay dry. Insulation goes between the joists, not across the void, and gaps at skirtings are sealed to stop draughts.
