Underfloor insulation for Newtownards properties
If your property is in Newtownards or the BT23 district or nearby Bangor and Downpatrick, it is within our County Down coverage. It is about 5 miles south of Bangor.
Small measures like this are often among the cheapest per pound saved, and they suit Newtownards homes of every age. Where a Newtownards home also has empty cavity walls, we can survey those at the same time.
On the rules side, if cavity wall insulation follows in Newtownards, inserting cavity wall insulation needs a building control application to the council before work starts.

Keeping the void ventilated
Air bricks under a suspended floor must stay clear so the timbers stay dry. Insulation goes between the joists, not across the void, and gaps at skirtings are sealed to stop draughts.
What is included in Newtownards
- Insulation between joists
- Draught sealing at skirtings
- Floor void inspection
- Boards relaid
