Thermal imaging survey for Hoddesdon properties
Hoddesdon is among the towns we cover in Hertfordshire, alongside Hertford, Cheshunt and Potters Bar. It is roughly 14 miles east of St Albans.
Every inspection point in Hoddesdon is photographed and logged, so you have a record to show a buyer, lender or contractor. A survey in Hoddesdon gives you facts before anyone drills: what the wall is, what is in the cavity and whether it is sound.
Exposure matters for every cavity wall. Much of Hertfordshire sits in the more sheltered driving-rain zones of the UK, which widens the choice of fill. Exposed elevations, coastal sites and high ground still get checked wall by wall.
In terms of approvals, if cavity wall insulation follows in Hoddesdon, filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.
Rules in England

What thermal images can and cannot show
They show patterns, not proof. A cooler stripe inside might be missing fill, a cold bridge at a lintel or simply a radiator switched off. That is why we pair the images with borescope checks before recommending any work.
What is included in Hoddesdon
- Borescope checks of suspect areas
- Interior and exterior images
- Recommendations, if any
