Borescope cavity inspection for Hoddesdon properties
We cover Hoddesdon and the EN11 postcode district, including nearby Hertford, Cheshunt and Potters Bar. It is about 14 miles east of St Albans.
Buyers and sellers in Hoddesdon often book this check when a survey report or EPC raises questions about the walls. Every inspection point in Hoddesdon is photographed and logged, so you have a record to show a buyer, lender or contractor.
Every elevation is judged on its own exposure. Much of Hertfordshire sits in the more sheltered driving-rain zones of the UK, which widens the choice of fill. Exposed elevations, coastal sites and high ground still get checked wall by wall.
As for paperwork, if cavity wall insulation follows in Hoddesdon, filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.

When a borescope check helps
Before filling, to confirm the cavity is empty and clean. Before buying a house, to see if the EPC's claim of 'filled cavity' is true. When damp has appeared and you need to know whether the fill is wet or bridged. Before a top-up, to map which panels are empty.
