Thermal imaging survey for Bishops Stortford properties
We cover Bishops Stortford and the CM23 postcode district, including nearby Hoddesdon, Hertford and Cheshunt. It is roughly 22 miles east of St Albans.
Every inspection point in Bishops Stortford is photographed and logged, so you have a record to show a buyer, lender or contractor. Where a Bishops Stortford wall shows cold patches or damp, the survey targets those areas first rather than sampling at random.
Wind-driven rain is the first thing the surveyor weighs up. Much of Hertfordshire sits in the more sheltered driving-rain zones of the UK, which widens the choice of fill. Exposed elevations, coastal sites and high ground still get checked wall by wall.
For regulations, if cavity wall insulation follows in Bishops Stortford, filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.

What thermal images can and cannot show
They show patterns, not proof. A cooler stripe inside might be missing fill, a cold bridge at a lintel or simply a radiator switched off. That is why we pair the images with borescope checks before recommending any work.
