Thermal imaging survey for Maidenhead properties
Maidenhead is among the towns we cover in Berkshire, alongside Slough, Windsor and Bracknell. It is around 12 miles north-east of Reading.
Where a Maidenhead wall shows cold patches or damp, the survey targets those areas first rather than sampling at random. Buyers and sellers in Maidenhead often book this check when a survey report or EPC raises questions about the walls.
Wind-driven rain is the first thing the surveyor weighs up. Much of Berkshire sits in the more sheltered driving-rain zones of the UK, which widens the choice of fill. Exposed elevations, coastal sites and high ground still get checked wall by wall.
For regulations, if cavity wall insulation follows in Maidenhead, filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.

What thermal images can and cannot show
They show patterns, not proof. A cooler stripe inside might be missing fill, a cold bridge at a lintel or simply a radiator switched off. That is why we pair the images with borescope checks before recommending any work.
