Bonded polystyrene bead insulation for Lichfield properties
Lichfield sits in Staffordshire, around 27 miles south-east of Stoke-on-Trent. We work across the WS13 district, including nearby Burntwood, Tamworth and Rugeley.
Where a Lichfield property has an extension or a conservatory, we check how the old and new walls meet, because that junction is often missed. For semi-detached and terraced homes in Lichfield, cavity barriers are fitted where your wall meets your neighbour's so the fill stays on your side.
Local weather affects which walls can be filled. Staffordshire has a mix of moderate and more exposed sites. Hilltop, coastal and west-facing walls take the brunt of wind-driven rain, so the survey records exposure for each elevation before a material is chosen.
On the rules side, in Lichfield filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.
Funding in England
In England, ECO4 runs to 31 December 2026 and Warm Homes: Local Grant supports low-income households through councils.

What to know before you choose beads
Polystyrene is combustible, so beads are not the right choice for every building; height, use and nearby openings matter, and the system certificate sets the limits. PVC-sheathed cables in the cavity should be sleeved or kept out of contact with the beads where the certificate requires it. We check both at survey.
What is included in Lichfield
