Party wall cavity insulation for Oadby properties
If your property is in Oadby or the LE2 district or nearby Wigston Magna, Leicester and Loughborough, it is within our Leicestershire coverage. It is roughly 3 miles south-east of Leicester.
Oadby properties with rendered or painted walls get a closer look at the outer finish, because cracked render can let rain behind it. A suitable wall in Oadby is usually filled in a single day from outside, with drill holes made good to match the pointing.
Every elevation is judged on its own exposure. Much of Leicestershire sits in the more sheltered driving-rain zones of the UK, which widens the choice of fill. Exposed elevations, coastal sites and high ground still get checked wall by wall.
For regulations, in Oadby filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.
Funding in England

Why a party wall loses heat
Many semi-detached and terraced homes built with cavity separating walls have that cavity open to the loft. Air moves up the cavity and out at the top, a loss sometimes called the party wall bypass. Filling the cavity and sealing the top stops it.
