Loft insulation for Cardiff properties
We cover Cardiff and the CF10 postcode district, including nearby Penarth and Barry. Cardiff is one of the main towns we cover in South Glamorgan.
In Cardiff homes this is often done on the same visit as a cavity fill, which saves a second trip. Where a Cardiff home also has empty cavity walls, we can survey those at the same time.
For regulations, if cavity wall insulation follows in Cardiff, filling a cavity is notifiable work under the Building Regulations as they apply in Wales, usually self-certified through a competent person scheme.
Funding in Wales
In Wales, Warm Homes Nest offers free improvements to eligible low-income households, and ECO4 runs to 31 December 2026.
Sources: Welsh Government: warmer and more energy efficient homes (July 2026); GOV.UK: extending the ECO4 end date, government response.
What we check
Existing depth and condition, ventilation at the eaves, water tanks and pipes that need insulating, downlighters that need covers, and storage boarding that needs raising so insulation is not crushed.
