Cavity wall insulation for flats for Wigston Magna properties
Wigston Magna sits in Leicestershire, about 4 miles south-east of Leicester. We work across the LE18 district, including nearby Oadby, Leicester and Hinckley.
Blocks of flats in Wigston Magna are surveyed as a whole, because the cavity runs across every flat in the building. For landlords and managing agents in Wigston Magna, we survey in batches and return a result sheet and fixed price per address.
Wind-driven rain is the first thing the surveyor weighs up. Much of Leicestershire sits in the more sheltered driving-rain zones of the UK, which widens the choice of fill. Exposed elevations, coastal sites and high ground still get checked wall by wall.
For regulations, in Wigston Magna filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.
Funding in England
In England, ECO4 runs to 31 December 2026 and Warm Homes: Local Grant supports low-income households through councils.

Fire and height
For blocks, the material must suit the building's height and use. Non-combustible mineral wool is the usual choice; we confirm the system and its certificate limits in writing.
