Cavity wall insulation for flats for Prestwich properties
We cover Prestwich and the M25 postcode district, including nearby Whitefield, Radcliffe and Salford. It is about 4 miles north-west of Manchester.
Work on Prestwich rented homes and blocks is booked around tenants and residents, with access arranged through your agent if you prefer. Per-address photo records for Prestwich properties make compliance files and EPC updates straightforward.
Before any material is chosen, exposure is checked. Greater Manchester has a mix of moderate and more exposed sites. Hilltop, coastal and west-facing walls take the brunt of wind-driven rain, so the survey records exposure for each elevation before a material is chosen.
As for paperwork, in Prestwich filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.
Funding in England
In England, ECO4 runs to 31 December 2026 and Warm Homes: Local Grant supports low-income households through councils.

Why one flat cannot usually be done alone
The cavity runs continuously across the building. The Energy Saving Trust notes that flats need agreement from the whole block. Filling one flat's walls in isolation leaves gaps, and the freeholder normally owns the structure.
