Existing insulation and guarantee check for Ossett properties
Our West Yorkshire coverage takes in Ossett (WF5) and nearby Dewsbury, Batley and Wakefield. It is around 8 miles south of Leeds.
The written result for your Ossett property is plain English: what we found, what it means and what, if anything, to do next. Every inspection point in Ossett is photographed and logged, so you have a record to show a buyer, lender or contractor.
Before any material is chosen, exposure is checked. West Yorkshire has a mix of moderate and more exposed sites. Hilltop, coastal and west-facing walls take the brunt of wind-driven rain, so the survey records exposure for each elevation before a material is chosen.
On compliance, if cavity wall insulation follows in Ossett, filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.

Tracing a guarantee
Many cavity fills carry a 25-year guarantee from the Cavity Insulation Guarantee Agency (CIGA). CIGA can confirm whether a property is covered and can issue a duplicate guarantee for a fee; at the time of writing that fee is £60 including VAT, and proof of ownership is required.
