Existing insulation and guarantee check for Wrexham properties
Wrexham is among the towns we cover in Clwyd, alongside Rhosllannerchrugog, Buckley and Hawarden. Wrexham is one of the main towns we cover in Clwyd.
A survey in Wrexham gives you facts before anyone drills: what the wall is, what is in the cavity and whether it is sound. The written result for your Wrexham property is plain English: what we found, what it means and what, if anything, to do next.
Before any material is chosen, exposure is checked. Parts of Clwyd face some of the heaviest wind-driven rain in the UK, especially exposed coastal and upland sites. Here the survey is stricter: some walls suit only certain certified systems, and some should not be filled at all.
For regulations, if cavity wall insulation follows in Wrexham, filling a cavity is notifiable work under the Building Regulations as they apply in Wales, usually self-certified through a competent person scheme.

Tracing a guarantee
Many cavity fills carry a 25-year guarantee from the Cavity Insulation Guarantee Agency (CIGA). CIGA can confirm whether a property is covered and can issue a duplicate guarantee for a fee; at the time of writing that fee is £60 including VAT, and proof of ownership is required.
