Existing insulation and guarantee check for Buckley properties
Our Clwyd coverage takes in Buckley (CH7) and nearby Hawarden, Deeside and Flint. It is around 9 miles north-west of Wrexham.
A survey in Buckley gives you facts before anyone drills: what the wall is, what is in the cavity and whether it is sound. Every inspection point in Buckley is photographed and logged, so you have a record to show a buyer, lender or contractor.
Exposure matters for every cavity wall. Parts of Clwyd face some of the heaviest wind-driven rain in the UK, especially exposed coastal and upland sites. Here the survey is stricter: some walls suit only certain certified systems, and some should not be filled at all.
For regulations, if cavity wall insulation follows in Buckley, filling a cavity is notifiable work under the Building Regulations as they apply in Wales, usually self-certified through a competent person scheme.

Many cavity fills carry a 25-year guarantee from the Cavity Insulation Guarantee Agency (CIGA). CIGA can confirm whether a property is covered and can issue a duplicate guarantee for a fee; at the time of writing that fee is £60 including VAT, and proof of ownership is required.
