Remove and refill for Newmarket properties
Newmarket is among the towns we cover in Cambridgeshire, alongside Ely and Cambridge. It is roughly 12 miles east of Cambridge.
We never cold-call in Newmarket or anywhere else, and we do not work with doorstep claims companies. Damp in an insulated Newmarket home is not always the insulation's fault, so the diagnosis comes before any extraction.
Local weather affects which walls can be filled. Much of Cambridgeshire sits in the more sheltered driving-rain zones of the UK, which widens the choice of fill. Exposed elevations, coastal sites and high ground still get checked wall by wall.
For regulations, if cavity wall insulation follows in Newmarket, filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.

Why refill at all?
Often the original problem was the wrong material for the exposure, poor installation or defects in the outer wall, not cavity insulation as such. Once the defects are fixed and the cavity is clean, a suitable certified system can usually go back in. Where the wall is too exposed for any fill, we say so and leave it empty.
What is included in Newmarket
