Cavity cleaning and debris removal for Halifax properties
Halifax sits in West Yorkshire, around 14 miles south-west of Leeds. We work across the HX3 district, including nearby Brighouse, Huddersfield and Cleckheaton.
Defects such as failed pointing, leaking gutters and bridged damp-proof courses are listed and priced separately for Halifax properties, so you can choose who fixes them. Damp in an insulated Halifax home is not always the insulation's fault, so the diagnosis comes before any extraction.
Every elevation is judged on its own exposure. West Yorkshire has a mix of moderate and more exposed sites. Hilltop, coastal and west-facing walls take the brunt of wind-driven rain, so the survey records exposure for each elevation before a material is chosen.
In terms of approvals, if cavity wall insulation follows in Halifax, filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.

Why debris matters
A clean cavity lets water that gets through the outer leaf drain away. Debris piled at the base or caught on ties makes a bridge for that water. It is a common cause of damp low on walls and around ties, with or without insulation.
