Cavity cleaning and debris removal for Guildford properties
Our Surrey coverage takes in Guildford (GU1) and nearby Godalming, Woking and Farnham. Guildford is one of the main towns we cover in Surrey.
Defects such as failed pointing, leaking gutters and bridged damp-proof courses are listed and priced separately for Guildford properties, so you can choose who fixes them. Where a Guildford wall does need work, bricks are lifted and rebuilt in matching mortar, and the cavity is checked with a camera before it is closed up.
Before any material is chosen, exposure is checked. Much of Surrey sits in the more sheltered driving-rain zones of the UK, which widens the choice of fill. Exposed elevations, coastal sites and high ground still get checked wall by wall.
On the rules side, if cavity wall insulation follows in Guildford, filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.

Why debris matters
A clean cavity lets water that gets through the outer leaf drain away. Debris piled at the base or caught on ties makes a bridge for that water. It is a common cause of damp low on walls and around ties, with or without insulation.
