Cavity cleaning and debris removal for Rugeley properties
Our Staffordshire coverage takes in Rugeley (WS15) and nearby Burntwood, Cannock and Lichfield. It is around 20 miles south-east of Stoke-on-Trent.
Damp in an insulated Rugeley home is not always the insulation's fault, so the diagnosis comes before any extraction. If your Rugeley installation has a guarantee, we check it first; the guarantee route may cover the work.
Before any material is chosen, exposure is checked. Staffordshire has a mix of moderate and more exposed sites. Hilltop, coastal and west-facing walls take the brunt of wind-driven rain, so the survey records exposure for each elevation before a material is chosen.
On the rules side, if cavity wall insulation follows in Rugeley, filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.

Why debris matters
A clean cavity lets water that gets through the outer leaf drain away. Debris piled at the base or caught on ties makes a bridge for that water. It is a common cause of damp low on walls and around ties, with or without insulation.
