Cavity cleaning and debris removal for Middlesbrough properties
Our North Yorkshire coverage takes in Middlesbrough (TS1) and nearby Redcar, Scarborough and Harrogate. It is about 43 miles north of York.
If your Middlesbrough installation has a guarantee, we check it first; the guarantee route may cover the work. Defects such as failed pointing, leaking gutters and bridged damp-proof courses are listed and priced separately for Middlesbrough properties, so you can choose who fixes them.
Wind-driven rain is the first thing the surveyor weighs up. North Yorkshire has a mix of moderate and more exposed sites. Hilltop, coastal and west-facing walls take the brunt of wind-driven rain, so the survey records exposure for each elevation before a material is chosen.
On the rules side, if cavity wall insulation follows in Middlesbrough, filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.

Why debris matters
A clean cavity lets water that gets through the outer leaf drain away. Debris piled at the base or caught on ties makes a bridge for that water. It is a common cause of damp low on walls and around ties, with or without insulation.
