Cavity cleaning and debris removal across Lanarkshire
We cover 9 towns in Lanarkshire, including East Kilbride, Hamilton, Cumbernauld, Coatbridge, Airdrie and more.
Local weather affects which walls can be filled. Parts of Lanarkshire face some of the heaviest wind-driven rain in the UK, especially exposed coastal and upland sites. Here the survey is stricter: some walls suit only certain certified systems, and some should not be filled at all.
Defects such as failed pointing, leaking gutters and bridged damp-proof courses are listed and priced separately for Lanarkshire properties, so you can choose who fixes them. If your Lanarkshire installation has a guarantee, we check it first; the guarantee route may cover the work.
Building standards in Scotland
In Scotland, work associated with thermal insulating material within a wall is listed in schedule 3 of the Building (Scotland) Regulations as work that does not need a building warrant. It must still meet the building standards, so the survey still checks that the wall and the chosen material are suitable, including exposure to wind-driven rain.

Why debris matters
A clean cavity lets water that gets through the outer leaf drain away. Debris piled at the base or caught on ties makes a bridge for that water. It is a common cause of damp low on walls and around ties, with or without insulation.
