Cavity cleaning and debris removal for Rickmansworth properties
Rickmansworth is among the towns we cover in Hertfordshire, alongside Watford, Hemel Hempstead and Borehamwood. It is around 10 miles south-west of St Albans.
Defects such as failed pointing, leaking gutters and bridged damp-proof courses are listed and priced separately for Rickmansworth properties, so you can choose who fixes them. If your Rickmansworth installation has a guarantee, we check it first; the guarantee route may cover the work.
Local weather affects which walls can be filled. Much of Hertfordshire sits in the more sheltered driving-rain zones of the UK, which widens the choice of fill. Exposed elevations, coastal sites and high ground still get checked wall by wall.
On compliance, if cavity wall insulation follows in Rickmansworth, filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.

Why debris matters
A clean cavity lets water that gets through the outer leaf drain away. Debris piled at the base or caught on ties makes a bridge for that water. It is a common cause of damp low on walls and around ties, with or without insulation.
