Cavity cleaning and debris removal for Borehamwood properties
If your property is in Borehamwood or the WD6 district or nearby Potters Bar, Watford and St Albans, it is within our Hertfordshire coverage. It is roughly 7 miles south of St Albans.
We never cold-call in Borehamwood or anywhere else, and we do not work with doorstep claims companies. Damp in an insulated Borehamwood home is not always the insulation's fault, so the diagnosis comes before any extraction.
Exposure matters for every cavity wall. Much of Hertfordshire sits in the more sheltered driving-rain zones of the UK, which widens the choice of fill. Exposed elevations, coastal sites and high ground still get checked wall by wall.
As for paperwork, if cavity wall insulation follows in Borehamwood, filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.
Rules in England
Filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification if insulation work follows.

Why debris matters
A clean cavity lets water that gets through the outer leaf drain away. Debris piled at the base or caught on ties makes a bridge for that water. It is a common cause of damp low on walls and around ties, with or without insulation.
