Cavity cleaning and debris removal for Porthmadog properties
Porthmadog sits in Gwynedd, around 19 miles south of Bangor. We work across the LL49 district, including nearby Caernarfon and Bangor.
We never cold-call in Porthmadog or anywhere else, and we do not work with doorstep claims companies. Where a Porthmadog wall does need work, bricks are lifted and rebuilt in matching mortar, and the cavity is checked with a camera before it is closed up.
Local weather affects which walls can be filled. Parts of Gwynedd face some of the heaviest wind-driven rain in the UK, especially exposed coastal and upland sites. Here the survey is stricter: some walls suit only certain certified systems, and some should not be filled at all.
On the rules side, if cavity wall insulation follows in Porthmadog, filling a cavity is notifiable work under the Building Regulations as they apply in Wales, usually self-certified through a competent person scheme.

Why debris matters
A clean cavity lets water that gets through the outer leaf drain away. Debris piled at the base or caught on ties makes a bridge for that water. It is a common cause of damp low on walls and around ties, with or without insulation.
