Cavity cleaning and debris removal for Beckenham properties
Our Greater London coverage takes in Beckenham (BR3) and nearby Catford, Croydon and Blackheath. It is around 8 miles south-east of London.
Where a Beckenham wall does need work, bricks are lifted and rebuilt in matching mortar, and the cavity is checked with a camera before it is closed up. If your Beckenham installation has a guarantee, we check it first; the guarantee route may cover the work.
Wind-driven rain is the first thing the surveyor weighs up. Much of Greater London sits in the more sheltered driving-rain zones of the UK, which widens the choice of fill. Exposed elevations, coastal sites and high ground still get checked wall by wall.
On the rules side, if cavity wall insulation follows in Beckenham, filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.

Why debris matters
A clean cavity lets water that gets through the outer leaf drain away. Debris piled at the base or caught on ties makes a bridge for that water. It is a common cause of damp low on walls and around ties, with or without insulation.
