Cavity cleaning and debris removal across Clwyd
We cover 8 towns in Clwyd, including Wrexham, Buckley, Deeside, Colwyn Bay, Flint and more.
Wind-driven rain is the first thing the surveyor weighs up. Parts of Clwyd face some of the heaviest wind-driven rain in the UK, especially exposed coastal and upland sites. Here the survey is stricter: some walls suit only certain certified systems, and some should not be filled at all.
We never cold-call in Clwyd or anywhere else, and we do not work with doorstep claims companies. Damp in an insulated Clwyd home is not always the insulation's fault, so the diagnosis comes before any extraction.
Building Regulations in Wales
In Wales, filling an existing cavity is also notifiable building work under the Building Regulations as they apply in Wales. A registered installer normally self-certifies it through a competent person scheme; otherwise a building notice goes to your council's building control before work starts. Welsh rules can differ from England's, so the notification route is confirmed in writing on your quote.

Why debris matters
A clean cavity lets water that gets through the outer leaf drain away. Debris piled at the base or caught on ties makes a bridge for that water. It is a common cause of damp low on walls and around ties, with or without insulation.
