Wall tie replacement for Lichfield properties
Lichfield is among the towns we cover in Staffordshire, alongside Burntwood, Tamworth and Rugeley. It is around 27 miles south-east of Stoke-on-Trent.
We never cold-call in Lichfield or anywhere else, and we do not work with doorstep claims companies. If your Lichfield installation has a guarantee, we check it first; the guarantee route may cover the work.
Before any material is chosen, exposure is checked. Staffordshire has a mix of moderate and more exposed sites. Hilltop, coastal and west-facing walls take the brunt of wind-driven rain, so the survey records exposure for each elevation before a material is chosen.
In terms of approvals, if cavity wall insulation follows in Lichfield, filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.

Signs of wall tie failure
Horizontal cracks in mortar joints at regular vertical intervals, bulging brickwork, or lifting of the roof verge. Older galvanised ties, especially in walls built before the 1980s, are the usual suspects.
