Wall tie replacement for Taunton properties
We cover Taunton and the TA1 postcode district, including nearby Bridgwater, Burnham-on-Sea and Yeovil. Taunton is one of the main towns we cover in Somerset.
If your Taunton installation has a guarantee, we check it first; the guarantee route may cover the work. We never cold-call in Taunton or anywhere else, and we do not work with doorstep claims companies.
Exposure matters for every cavity wall. Somerset has a mix of moderate and more exposed sites. Hilltop, coastal and west-facing walls take the brunt of wind-driven rain, so the survey records exposure for each elevation before a material is chosen.
For regulations, if cavity wall insulation follows in Taunton, filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.

Signs of wall tie failure
Horizontal cracks in mortar joints at regular vertical intervals, bulging brickwork, or lifting of the roof verge. Older galvanised ties, especially in walls built before the 1980s, are the usual suspects.
