Wall tie replacement for Pimlico properties
Our Greater London coverage takes in Pimlico (SW1V) and nearby Battersea, Chelsea and London. It is roughly 1 mile south of London.
Where a Pimlico wall does need work, bricks are lifted and rebuilt in matching mortar, and the cavity is checked with a camera before it is closed up. We never cold-call in Pimlico or anywhere else, and we do not work with doorstep claims companies.
Local weather affects which walls can be filled. Much of Greater London sits in the more sheltered driving-rain zones of the UK, which widens the choice of fill. Exposed elevations, coastal sites and high ground still get checked wall by wall.
In terms of approvals, if cavity wall insulation follows in Pimlico, filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.
Rules in England
Filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification if insulation work follows.

Ties and cavity insulation
Ties should be checked before a cavity is filled. Fitting remedial ties does not normally stop a cavity being insulated later, and we can do both in one visit. Where cracking suggests movement, we recommend a structural engineer's view first.
What is included in Pimlico
