Wall tie replacement for Loughton properties
We cover Loughton and the IG10 postcode district.
If your Loughton installation has a guarantee, we check it first; the guarantee route may cover the work. Damp in an insulated Loughton home is not always the insulation's fault, so the diagnosis comes before any extraction.
Wind-driven rain is the first thing the surveyor weighs up. Much of Essex sits in the more sheltered driving-rain zones of the UK, which widens the choice of fill. Exposed elevations, coastal sites and high ground still get checked wall by wall.
On the rules side, if cavity wall insulation follows in Loughton, filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.

Ties and cavity insulation
Ties should be checked before a cavity is filled. Fitting remedial ties does not normally stop a cavity being insulated later, and we can do both in one visit. Where cracking suggests movement, we recommend a structural engineer's view first.
