Wall tie replacement for Chelmsford properties
Our Essex coverage takes in Chelmsford (CM1) and nearby Billericay, Witham and Maldon. Chelmsford is one of the main towns we cover in Essex.
Damp in an insulated Chelmsford home is not always the insulation's fault, so the diagnosis comes before any extraction. We never cold-call in Chelmsford or anywhere else, and we do not work with doorstep claims companies.
Before any material is chosen, exposure is checked. Much of Essex sits in the more sheltered driving-rain zones of the UK, which widens the choice of fill. Exposed elevations, coastal sites and high ground still get checked wall by wall.
On compliance, if cavity wall insulation follows in Chelmsford, filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.

Signs of wall tie failure
Horizontal cracks in mortar joints at regular vertical intervals, bulging brickwork, or lifting of the roof verge. Older galvanised ties, especially in walls built before the 1980s, are the usual suspects.
