Wall tie replacement for Rhyl properties
We cover Rhyl and the LL18 postcode district, including nearby Colwyn Bay, Flint and Buckley. It is roughly 28 miles north-west of Wrexham.
Damp in an insulated Rhyl home is not always the insulation's fault, so the diagnosis comes before any extraction. We never cold-call in Rhyl or anywhere else, and we do not work with doorstep claims companies.
Exposure matters for every cavity wall. Parts of Clwyd face some of the heaviest wind-driven rain in the UK, especially exposed coastal and upland sites. Here the survey is stricter: some walls suit only certain certified systems, and some should not be filled at all.
As for paperwork, if cavity wall insulation follows in Rhyl, filling a cavity is notifiable work under the Building Regulations as they apply in Wales, usually self-certified through a competent person scheme.

Signs of wall tie failure
Horizontal cracks in mortar joints at regular vertical intervals, bulging brickwork, or lifting of the roof verge. Older galvanised ties, especially in walls built before the 1980s, are the usual suspects.
