Wall tie replacement for Bracknell properties
If your property is in Bracknell or the RG12 district or nearby Crowthorne, Wokingham and Sandhurst, it is within our Berkshire coverage. It is around 10 miles east of Reading.
We never cold-call in Bracknell or anywhere else, and we do not work with doorstep claims companies. Damp in an insulated Bracknell home is not always the insulation's fault, so the diagnosis comes before any extraction.
Wind-driven rain is the first thing the surveyor weighs up. Much of Berkshire sits in the more sheltered driving-rain zones of the UK, which widens the choice of fill. Exposed elevations, coastal sites and high ground still get checked wall by wall.
On the rules side, if cavity wall insulation follows in Bracknell, filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.

Ties and cavity insulation
Ties should be checked before a cavity is filled. Fitting remedial ties does not normally stop a cavity being insulated later, and we can do both in one visit. Where cracking suggests movement, we recommend a structural engineer's view first.
What is included in Bracknell
- Isolation or removal of old ties where needed
- Remedial stainless ties to a set pattern
- Making good
- Tie inspection with metal detector and borescope
