Thermal imaging survey for Pontefract properties
Pontefract is among the towns we cover in West Yorkshire, alongside Castleford, Wakefield and Lofthouse. It is around 12 miles south-east of Leeds.
The written result for your Pontefract property is plain English: what we found, what it means and what, if anything, to do next. A survey in Pontefract gives you facts before anyone drills: what the wall is, what is in the cavity and whether it is sound.
Exposure matters for every cavity wall. West Yorkshire has a mix of moderate and more exposed sites. Hilltop, coastal and west-facing walls take the brunt of wind-driven rain, so the survey records exposure for each elevation before a material is chosen.
On compliance, if cavity wall insulation follows in Pontefract, filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.
Rules in England
Filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification if insulation work follows.

What thermal images can and cannot show
They show patterns, not proof. A cooler stripe inside might be missing fill, a cold bridge at a lintel or simply a radiator switched off. That is why we pair the images with borescope checks before recommending any work.
