Thermal imaging survey for Gosport properties
We cover Gosport and the PO12 postcode district, including nearby Portsmouth, Fareham and Waterlooville. It is roughly 14 miles south-east of Southampton.
Buyers and sellers in Gosport often book this check when a survey report or EPC raises questions about the walls. Where a Gosport wall shows cold patches or damp, the survey targets those areas first rather than sampling at random.
Local weather affects which walls can be filled. Hampshire has a mix of moderate and more exposed sites. Hilltop, coastal and west-facing walls take the brunt of wind-driven rain, so the survey records exposure for each elevation before a material is chosen.
On compliance, if cavity wall insulation follows in Gosport, filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.
