Thermal imaging survey for Limavady properties
We cover Limavady and the BT49 postcode district, including nearby Coleraine, Derry and Magherafelt. It is about 14 miles east of Derry.
Every inspection point in Limavady is photographed and logged, so you have a record to show a buyer, lender or contractor. A survey in Limavady gives you facts before anyone drills: what the wall is, what is in the cavity and whether it is sound.
Every elevation is judged on its own exposure. Parts of County Londonderry face some of the heaviest wind-driven rain in the UK, especially exposed coastal and upland sites. Here the survey is stricter: some walls suit only certain certified systems, and some should not be filled at all.
In terms of approvals, if cavity wall insulation follows in Limavady, inserting cavity wall insulation needs a building control application to the council before work starts.
Rules in Northern Ireland
Inserting cavity wall insulation needs a building control application to the council before work starts if insulation work follows.

What thermal images can and cannot show
They show patterns, not proof. A cooler stripe inside might be missing fill, a cold bridge at a lintel or simply a radiator switched off. That is why we pair the images with borescope checks before recommending any work.
