Thermal imaging survey for Newton Aycliffe properties
Our County Durham coverage takes in Newton Aycliffe (DL5) and nearby Bishop Auckland, Darlington and Stockton-on-Tees. It is about 11 miles south of Durham.
Every inspection point in Newton Aycliffe is photographed and logged, so you have a record to show a buyer, lender or contractor. Where a Newton Aycliffe wall shows cold patches or damp, the survey targets those areas first rather than sampling at random.
Before any material is chosen, exposure is checked. County Durham has a mix of moderate and more exposed sites. Hilltop, coastal and west-facing walls take the brunt of wind-driven rain, so the survey records exposure for each elevation before a material is chosen.
On compliance, if cavity wall insulation follows in Newton Aycliffe, filling a cavity is notifiable building work and needs a building notice or competent-person self-certification.

What thermal images can and cannot show
They show patterns, not proof. A cooler stripe inside might be missing fill, a cold bridge at a lintel or simply a radiator switched off. That is why we pair the images with borescope checks before recommending any work.
