Thermal imaging survey for Downpatrick properties
We cover Downpatrick and the BT30 postcode district, including nearby Newtownards, Banbridge and Bangor. It is roughly 22 miles south of Bangor.
The written result for your Downpatrick property is plain English: what we found, what it means and what, if anything, to do next. Buyers and sellers in Downpatrick often book this check when a survey report or EPC raises questions about the walls.
Local weather affects which walls can be filled. Parts of County Down face some of the heaviest wind-driven rain in the UK, especially exposed coastal and upland sites. Here the survey is stricter: some walls suit only certain certified systems, and some should not be filled at all.
On the rules side, if cavity wall insulation follows in Downpatrick, inserting cavity wall insulation needs a building control application to the council before work starts.

What thermal images can and cannot show
They show patterns, not proof. A cooler stripe inside might be missing fill, a cold bridge at a lintel or simply a radiator switched off. That is why we pair the images with borescope checks before recommending any work.
